Welcome to our home on the web.
The summer of 2005 was a busy one! We did manage to find time to
visit a local farm who had pygmy goats but little did we know that we
would soon own some of these beautiful little animals. We saw their
little faces, and playful banter and we were hooked!

We purchased a male goat we named Buddy Boy and then it soon became appearant that we
needed a companion for Buddy. That's when we went back and bought Shadow and Madeleine.
Soon after that we had some people who wanted to buy some rabbits from us and they had a
Nubian goat that they would trade for the rabbits. Cameo was a beautiful doe and so comical when
she ran we fell instantly in love and took her in. That was the beginning of our herd in 2005.

Today we have a total of 8 goats. Buddy Boy our herd sire, Shadow and her kid Little Buck,
Madeleine and her kid Opie, Cameo, Gracie and our newest addition Wilma Mae.

Shadow delivers triplets!
Shadow and Buddy Boy are the proud parents of triplets! Two
bucks and one very small doe. Maria's Zoo is proud to
announce the arrival of Eric, Sean and Thumbelina, on April
